Jeff Pugh, age 40, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.

He was born on Dec, 5, 1979, in Brewton, Ala., the son of John Albert Pugh and Beverly Ann Seals Pugh Bigot. 

He was preceded in death by his father. On July 28, 2000, he was married to Cathy Davis.

Jeff was a truck driver, farmer and manager of Davis Portable Buildings. He was a member of Trinity Holiness Church and loved going to church. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Pugh of Athens; two sons, Jonathan Pugh and Jasper Pugh, both of the home; his mother, Beverly Bigot of Colcord, Okla. four siblings, Tim Pugh and his wife, Des, of Colcord, Okla., Larenda Pugh of Athens, Belinda Pugh of Colcord, Okla. and Bo Pugh and his wife, Kelly, of Umpire; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, in the Dripping Springs Campground, 272 Hwy. 84 West, Glenwood, with Bro. Sammy Cottrell and Bro. Aaron Alexander officiating.

Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment was in Athens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons, at any one time, attending indoor services.  

Attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times while in the funeral home. 

At all services, indoor and outdoor, you must avoid all physical contact and observe social distancing.

Pallbearers will be Tony Cottrell, Tharold Cottrell, Derek Boutwell, Aaron Alexander, Dean Alexander, Cameron Pugh, Jeremy Self and Austin Sage.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Davis, Don Welch, Tony Boutwell and Kenny McGrew.
