James Monroe Waters, 88, of Nashville, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, in Nashville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1931 in Geneva, Ala., the son of the late Jessie Green and Nellie Mae Patterson Waters.
He was a US Army and served during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Vance Waters; two sisters, Lillie Malissa Waters and Ruby Ruth Childers.
Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Worley of Nashville, and Anna Grissenger and husband, Eric, of Hernando, Fla.; a son, Dale Daniel Burris and wife, Sheila, of Miami, Okla.; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
