Luther Jean Britt, of Nashville, Ark., passed away peacefully, Monday, March 4, 2019, at her home.
She was born March 30, 1934, in Tokio, Ark. She was a member of Center Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
After raising her four sons she became an accomplished florist and loved serving the local community for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Van Britt; infant son, Larry Vance Britt; father, Luther Arnold; mother, Ida Chambers; step-father, Othel Chambers; brother, Herman Bell Jr.; sister, Mary Jane Watson; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Britt.
She is survived by: four children, Wayne Britt (special friend Ann) of Fayetteville, Ark.; Paul Britt (Marilyn) of Nashville, Ark.; Tony Britt (special friend Scarlett) of Nashville, Ark.; and Dennis Britt (Shari) of San Dimas, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Linda Bell, and a large number of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and neighbors that loved her dearly, as well as a special caregiver, Theresa McGrew.
Family and friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Latimer Funeral Home. There will be a private burial Thursday morning and the memorial service will be held at Latimer Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Howard Memorial Hospital Foundation 130 Medical Circle, Nashville, AR 71852.
