Obituary: Carrell Dean Sutton, 84, of Mineral Springs

Carrell Dean Sutton, of Mineral Springs, Ark., died Sunday morning, Nov. 25, 2018 in Nashville, Ark., hospital following a lingering illness.

Mr. Sutton was born May 8, 1934 in Mineral Springs to Homer L. Sutton and Willie Ann Jones Sutton, who both preceded him in death.

Carrell moved to Texarkana where he met and married Flora McGee Sutton.

While in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Okla., their first son, Dennis Keith Sutton, was born. Four years later while working at Lone Star Ammunitions Plant and living in Wake Village, Texas, their second son, David Craig Sutton, was born. Mr. Sutton worked a total of 30 years for Dave and Zimmerman at Lone Star.

He is survived by his wife Flora Sutton to whom he was married 64 very happy years. Also his sister; Shirley Freund of Austin, Texas. A brother-in-law, Wayne Royal of Wake Village, Texas, sister-in-law, Carol Royal of Austin, Texas. Granddaughters, Christal Sutton, and Lauren Richards and her husband Chris of Texarkana, Texas; great-granddaughter, Frannie Richards of Texarkana, Texas. Many other family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Alliance, 100 Memory Lane Texarkana, TX 75503, or the charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery west of Mineral Springs with Bro. Bryan Adair and Don Jones officiating.
