Mae “Miss Mae” June Cooley, age 81, of Mineral Springs, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in Murfreesboro, Ark.
She was born on Dec. 21, 1935, in Wilberton, Okla., the daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Bidwell Verdon.
Miss Mae is a member of Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Matha Hicks Cooley.
Survivors include: her son, Lyle Cooley and wife Tracey; her brother, Tommy Verdon; and her grandchildren, Aaron Cooley and Jennifer Cooley; as well as her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville.
Services were Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. Burial followed at Mineral Springs Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
