Jayson Creg Bonner, age 19, of Norman, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017.
He was born on April 13, 1998, in Killeen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his name-sakes, his great-grandfather, Creg Cook; and his great-uncle, Jay Miller.
He was a 2016 graduate of Caddo Hills, where he participated in cross-country, baseball, golf and track. He was currently employed as a CNA with Montgomery County Nursing Home, 400 Hall, and took such good care of the residents. During his previous employment with Home Health in Mena, he was presented with a life-saving award for his quick response with the reviving of a patient, having saved their life.
Jayson enjoyed going fishing with his Uncle Harm, riding dirt bikes, driving his pride and joy Mustang, was extremely talented in wood working, and enjoyed making special cherished pieces for many members of his family. Anyone who knew Jayson, knew he had a huge heart and it always shined through when he was helping people. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Karmen Ingraffia and her husband, Douglas, of Kempner, Texas; his father, Dennis Bonner of Killeen, Texas; his son, Lincoln; his grandparents, Ron and Nancy Graves of Norman and Dennis and Jeannette Bonner of Killeen, Texas; two brothers, Grayson and Karson Bonner; his sister, Madison Bonner; his stepbrothers, James and Joseph Ingraffia; his aunt and uncle, Kristal and Larry Shanahan of Round Rock, Texas; cousins, Logan and Kaden Shanahan; his dog, Bella; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2017, in the Norman First Baptist Church with Bro. Robbie Loudermilk and Bro. William Squires officiating.
Visitation was Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment was in the Mount Gilead Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Pallbearers were William Squires, Justin Henderson, James Whisenhunt, Grayson Bonner, Karson Bonner and Victor Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers were the nurses and staff of the Montgomery County Nursing Home, 400 Hall, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department; and the members of Norman First Baptist Church.
