Arthur A. “Dugan” Tinsley, 92, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, in Hot Springs, Ark.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1925, the son of the late Henry Tella and Martha Young Tinsley.

Dugan first and foremost was a Christian. He served at First Baptist Church for 58 years, and was a loyal member of the Nichols Sunday School Class. He enjoyed playing 18 holes of golf at the Nashville Country Club. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served his country during WWII. He loved volunteering with the Operation Christmas Child program. Mr. Tinsley was an entrepreneur and respected businessman in his community.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Arthur Tinsley, and a brother, Huey Tella Tinsley.

Survivors include: his wife of 71 years, Wanda Tinsley of Nashville, Ark,; a son, Michael Wayne Tinsley of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, Kerri Evans and husband, Rob, of Collierville, Tenn., and Kacey Young and husband, Blake, of Harrison, Ark.; four great grandchildren, Luke Evans, Tinsley Evans, Ava Young, and Jake Young; three sisters, June Fontaine of Nashville, Ark., Marjorie Clark of Mineral Springs, Ark., and Hattie Britt of Friendswood, Texas; a dear friend, Lloyd Johnson; as well as many other friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, at the First Baptist Church in Nashville, Ark., with Bro. Kevin Sartin and Bro. David Blase officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
