Obituary: Iva Florene Icenhower, 95, of Center Point

Iva Florene Icenhower, resident of Center Point, Ark., formerly of Dierks, Ark., went to be with Jesus surrounded by her loving, devoted family on Aug. 8, 2017 at the age of 95.

Mrs. Icenhower was born in Dierks, Ark., Jan. 29, 1922, to the late Denson D. and Annie Lou Crisp Westbrook. She married Olan Duncan Icenhower on May 17, 1942, and together they raised seven children. She was a faithful member of Center Point Baptist Church. She loved cooking and quilting. The real and abiding passions were her family and friends, but above all, she loved the Lord as was demonstrated in her servant heart. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Duncan Icenhower; oldest son, Jerry Duncan Icenhower; three great-grandchildren, Ricky Icenhower, Ryan Gilbert, Taylor Foster; and one great-great grandchild, David Boone Jr.; sisters, Wanda Pinkerton, Mamie Mauldin, Bernice Westbrook, and one brother, Denson Westbrook Jr.

Mrs. Icenhower is survived by her remaining six children and their spouses: Larry Dwight Icenhower, Linda Endsley (Carroll), Sandra Kemp (Paul), Rickey Icenhower (Bessie), Danny Icenhower (Suzanne), Garry Icenhower (Tammie); sister, Iris Grisham; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was Thursday Aug. 10, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. Services were 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at Nashville Funeral Home with Shawn Kemp, Alan Davis, and Jerry Holland officiating. Burial followed in Sunshine Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. You may send an online sympathy message to www.nashvillefh.com or our Facebook page Nashville Funeral Home.
