Clara Goss, age 88, of Roswell, Georgia, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017.
She was born on February 15, 1929, in Mauldin, Arkansas the daughter of Rufus Reid Qualls and Lydia Mevina Qualls. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dee Nathanal Goss; three brothers, J.D. Qualls, Olen Qualls and George Qualls; and two sisters, Delena Qualls and Edith Qualls.
For several years she served as the Oden Postmaster. She enjoyed ceramics, making flower arrangements, needlework, but her overriding passion was service to her family, her church, and her community. Clara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by one son, David Goss of Hot Springs; one daughter, Martha Goss Kuhlmann of Alpharetta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jeffery Goss of Longmont, Colorado, Shawna Goss-Nedved of Wentzville, Missouri, E.W. Looney of Roswell, Georgia; one sister, Wanda Williams of Arkadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Del Keith officiating.
Interment will be at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, in the Brushy Creek Cemetery in Oden.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
