Janice Barfoot Summit of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 2, 1951 in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Pearline Smith Barfoot. She was an active member of North Main Baptist Church in Sheridan.
Mrs. Summit died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 66.
Survivors: husband and best friend of 47 years, Billy R. Summit; son, Jason Summit; daughter, Brandi Summit all of Sheridan; brothers, Kenneth Barfoot of Brandon, MS, Keith Barfoot of Monterey, LA; sisters, Joy Arnold of McCall Creek, MS, Missy Barfoot of Natchez, MS; uncle, Thomas Barfoot of McCall Creek, MS; 2 grandchildren, Erin and Dalton Summit.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. also on Monday at Lone Valley Cemetery in Sims, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 4-6 P.M.
