Bonnie Fay Godsey of Longview, Texas was born on Dec 19, 1931, in Nashville, Ark., to Gus and Era Osborn.
She went home to be with Jesus on Feb 8, 2017. She grew up in Nashville and graduated from the Nashville High School class of 1949. She retired after 35 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and enjoyed bringing breakfast treats to her Sunday School class.Â
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents, and a brother, J.D. Osborn, Sr.; and a sister, Doris Bradley.
She is survived by: her son, Joel McGuire of Longview; three granddaughters, Meredith Duffee and husband, Brian, Melissa Montgomery and husband, Brandon, and Megan McGuire; and their mother, Gayla McGuire; 4 great-granddaughters, and her sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Travis Watson.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Memory Park Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
