Mary Jo Alexander, 45, of Newhope, Arkansas, died Saturday, Feb. 11 in Hot Springs.
She was born Sept. 19, 1971, in De Queen. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Otto and Mildred Deer; her birth mother, Mary Campbell; four brothers, Sonny, Larry, Earl and Danny Deer; and a sister, Emma Harris.
Survivors include: her husband of 30 years, Marty Alexander of Newhope; one daughter, Jessica Bean and husband, Damion of Perry, Okla.; one son, Rickey Alexander of Newhope; her birth father and step-mother, Rickey and Jessie Deer of Nashville; six sisters, Francis Ward of Dierks, Glenda Conatser of Nashville, Diane Cox of Dierks, Tammy Deer of Gillham, Geneva Davenport of Mineral Springs, and Jeanette Woods of Nashville; one brother, Thomas Deer of Dierks; also grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in Sweet Home Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Herrington officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the funeral home in Dierks.
