Aletha Stovall passed away December 18. She was 95 years of age. It’s hard to say goodbye. Even after 95 years, we wish that we had more time, however, there is a saying: “To live in the hearts you leave behind is not to die”. Mom will live on for a very very long time.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Stovall and her Daughter, Jenny Wilson. She is survived by her son, Hugh (Sonny) Stovall of Dallas and three daughters Betty Hoxsie of Hot Springs, Kathy Martinez of Colorado Springs and Gay Casey of Dallas, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, Daughter in-law Betty, Son—in—laws Harry and Tim, nieces, nephews and friends who cared for her dearly. This family, and her role as Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother was the most important thing in the world to Mom. Being with her family was what she enjoyed most of all and she has left the legacy of her love, perseverance and her children.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 10-12 p.m. at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida. Funeral Services will be under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home and will be held Wednesday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m., at the Pencil Bluff Baptist Church in Pencil Bluff.

Pallbearers: Duane White, Stephen Hoxsie, Jimmy Wilson, Josh Stovall, Gregory Martinez and Tim Casey.
