John Alvin Tomblin, 68, of Burg, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.
He was born May 29, 1948 in Fairfax, Okla., the son of the late Robert and Mildred Poston Tomblin.
He was a supervisor for Weyerhaeuser for 36 years, a member of the Burg Church of Christ and a member of the Umpire Volunteer Fire Department for 36 years.
Survivors inlcude: his wife, Peggy White Tomblin; two sons, Shawn Tomblin and Matt and Tonja Tomblin all of Burg; three sisters, Cheryl LeMonnier, Sandra Brown and Jana Fredricks, all of Ponca City, Okla.; also, grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Burl Young officiating.
