The Mount Ida Lions emerge from a frantic 2016 regular season a share of the conference crown and with the one seed from the 7-2A Conference.
The Lions overcame a 20-16 third quarter deficit and walked away with the 37-20 victory after rattling off 21 unanswered points.
Speaking of rattles. The Murfreesboro Rattlers earned a piece of the 7-2A Conference crown with a thrilling 26-20 victory over the Dierks Outlaws.
Mount Ida was able to attain the one seed thanks to a conference victory over the Rattlers earlier in the season.
Mount Ida will host Johnson County Westside next Friday night with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m.
