Mary Lois Hooker Frangella, age 91 of Texarkana, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 in Texarkana. She was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Mineral Springs, Ark., to the late William Hugh Hooker and Jewell Johnson Hooker.
She was a homemaker and retired secretary for Brown and Root Construction. She was a member of the Gateway Church in Shreveport, La., where she had previously lived. She loved reading, friends and family. Mary loved visiting with all her friends, and family was very important to her, but most of all her church and Christian faith is how she lived her life. She taught her family the strong values of living a Christian life through the examples of how she lived.
Preceding her in death other than her parents was her brother, William Hugh “Bill” Hooker, Jr.
Her survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Camille and Doug Norwood of Genoa, Ark., and two grandsons, Michael and wife Brenda (who she considered her granddaughter) Norwood of Azle, Texas, and Drew Norwood of Texarkana, Texas; two great-grandsons, Alex Norwood of Texarkana, Texas, and Jacob Norwood of Azle, Texas; a sister, Betty Hargrove of Shreveport, La.; a special niece and nephew, Debra Monarch and husband Michael of Shreveport, and Mark Hargrove and wife Karen of Covina, Calif.; as well as a large host of other family and friends.
