Mike “Spud” Price, age 47, of Hopper, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

He was born on July 27, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Kenneth Michael Price and Stephanie Irizarry Price. On October 12, 1991, he was married to Karen Miller.

Before coming to work with the Montgomery County Road Department, he had worked for 18 years for Ouachita Builders. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed football and NASCAR racing. He loved being with his family, his three girls and his four grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Price of Hopper; three daughters and their spouses, Danielle and Dustin Morris of Caddo Gap; Jodi and Matthew Boxer of Hot Springs and Keli Price of Hopper; four grandchildren, Brayden Norwood, Andrew Morris, Jaylynn Norwood and Raegan Morris; his parents, Mike and Stevie Price of Hopper; his brother, Lou Price of Hopper; his sister, Keri Lollar of Hopper; and his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. James “Cub” Black and Bro. Jeremy Graves officiating.

A private family grave side service will be held later.

Pallbearers were Tracy Deaton, Rod Powell, Bart Williams, Bryan Bour, Sammy Jones, Stephen Chaffin, Hop Spurling and R.D. Hale.

Honorary pallbearers were Wilburn Porter, Lonnie Miller, Whitt Smith, Charles Coffman, Larry Deaton, Kent Bragg, Dennis Tims, Tracy Spears, Shane Coffman, Paul Burns and his fellow co-workers with the Montgomery County Road Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
