MAGNOLIA – The Scrapperette tennis team posted a 4-0 win over Magnolia Sept. 13.
In singles, Olivia Herzog defeated Abbie Jolly 6-5 and won a tie-breaker. McKenzie Morphew def. Taylor Bells 9-8, 7-3.
In doubles, Herzog and Kendall Kirchhoff def. Hanna Anglin and Deasha Doss 6-0, 6-0. Morphew and Leslie Lingo def. Hunter Nix and Haylie Hanson 6-1, 6-0.
In boys action, Magnolia won 3-1.
Scrappers Glenn Hartness and Zach Backus def. Connor DeLoach and Keith Watson 6-3, 6-1.
Caleb Newton and Eli Howard lost to Dalton Keith and Daniel Rayez 4-6, 1-6.
In singles, Zack Williams lost to Kurt Fletcher 2-8. Hartness lost to Kevin Zhoa 6-3, 4-6 and 7-10 in a tie-breaker.
Nashville will wrap up the regular season next week. The Scrappers and Scrapperettes will travel to CAC Monday, Sept. 26. They will host De Queen Sept. 27 at the Nashville City Park.
The District 7-4A tournament will be Oct. 3 at Ouachita Baptist University.
