Oscar Edward “Buckshot” Barbre, 85, of Dierks, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 in Hot Springs.
He was born Oct. 12, 1930, in Howard County, the son of the late William Oscar and Ollie May Kesterson Barbre. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Edward Barbre; one brother, Kenneth Elvis Barbre and two infant brothers.
Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Rosa Lee Blanton Barbre; three daughters, Sharon Barbre White of Dierks, Linda Christopher and husband, Billy Joe Christopher of Dierks, and Rose Tollett and husband Tony of Prescott; three sons, Larry Barbre and wife, Sheila, David Barbre and wife, Marvella, and Billy Barbre and wife Brenda, all of Dierks; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery.
Visitation was 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 4 at the funeral home in Dierks.
