Ballot positions drawn for general election

Supporters of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump for President will have to look to the bottom of the ballot to vote this year in the Montgomery County general election.
The Montgomery County Election Commission drew ballot positions for the upcoming general election with five contested races on the national and state level and three locally.
Positions were selected randomly with local election commissioners taking turns drawing for ballot position.
On the ballot for United States President Jim Hedges (Independent) will be first, followed in order by Gary Johnson (Libertarian), Jill Stein (Green), Evan McMullin (Better for America), Darell Castle (Constitution), Lynn S. Kahn (Independent), Donald J. Trump (Republican) and Hillary Clinton (Democrat).
The United States Senate Race has three participants with Conner Eldridge (Democrat) drawing first position followed by incumbent Senator John Boozman (Republican) and Frank Gilbert (Libertarian).
Two are running for the United States House of Representatives District 4 seat with Kerry Hicks (Libertarian) in the first position followed by incumbent Congressman Bruce Westerman (Republican).
On the state level State Representative District 20 is up for grabs with John Maddox (Republican) drawing first position and Henry T. Nielson (Independent) drawing second position.
Locally the city of Mount Ida has one contested position. In the race for Recorder/Treasurer Lillian Farmer drew first position followed by incumbent Carlyn Hall.
The city of Glenwood has two contested positions.
In the race for Recorder/Treasurer Patti Jean Parker drew first position and Sharon Wisener Noble drew position 2.
South Ward Position 1 saw Billy Plyler draw first position followed by John R. Powell.

County Coroner – Jeffery Blansett (Republican)
County Surveyor – Evan Black (Republican)
Justice of the Peace District 1 – Johnette Rowland (Democrat)
Justice of the Peace District 2 – Mike Dobbs (Independent)
Justice of the Peace District 3 – Linden “Barry” Spivey (Democrat)
Justice of the Peace District 4 – Floyd S. McKinzie (Democrat)
Justice of the Peace District 5 – Kenn C. Greene (Republican)
Justice of the Peace District 6 – Melissa Powell (Democrat)
Justice of the Peace District 7 – Linda E. Jester (Republican)
Justice of the Peace District 8 – Terry E. Black (Republican)
Justice of the Peace District 9 – Dan McCarter (Democrat)

Early voting in Arkansas begins, Monday, October 24, and will conclude , Monday, November 7, at 5 p.m. Early voting will be available Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The General Election will be held, Tuesday, November 8, from 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
