The Scrapper and Scrapperette tennis teams remain undefeated in District 7-4A after taking wins over Malvern Aug. 23 at the Nashville City Park.

The Scrapper netters were 4-0 against the Leopards. The Scrapperettes defeated the Lady Leopards 6-1.

Nashville was 2-0 in boys singles. Zack Williams defeated Antwan Johnson 6-0, and Caleb Newton defeated Carson Massey 6-2.

In doubles, Glenn Hartness and Zack Backus defeated Garrett Mayhan and Grady Purifoy 6-0. Caleb Newton and Eli Howard defeated Brandon Scott and Kadia Pruit 6-4.

The Scrapperettes were 4-0 in doubles against Malvern. Olivia Herzog and Kendall Kirchhoff defeated Alex Lyndsey and Alayna Fields 6-1. McKenzie Morphew and Leslie Lingo defeated Leslie Post and JaCrya Hodges 6-0. Morphew and Lingo defeated Lyndsey and Fields 6-2. Kirchhoff and Herzog defeated Post and Hodges 6-2.

Nashville was 2-1 in girls singles. Amber Barnett defeated Pricilla Clegg 6-4. Maddie Pinkerton defeated Ameria Harper 6-3. Ashlyn Newton lost to Skylar Sherlock 0-6.

Nashville defeated Texarkana Monday. The team will travel to Arkadelphia Thursday and Fountain Lake Sept. 6 to continue District 7-4A tennis.
