Scrapper Bash set for Friday night


    The Orange and Black Back-to-School Bash will be held Friday, Aug. 19, at Scrapper Stadium. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission will be $2.

    The junior Scrapper scrimmage will kick off at 7 p.m.

    Introductions of players, cheerleaders and band members will begin around 7:45-8 pm. The cheerleaders and band will perform during the Bash.

    Participants will be introduced in the following order:

    Eighth and ninth grade football team

    NJHS cheerleaders

    NJHS band

    NHS cheerleaders

    NHS band

    NHS Scrapper football team.

    Coach Mike Volarvich will speak after the senior high team is introduced.

    Following Volarvich’s comments, the NHS band will play the “Alma Mater.”

    The senior high Scrappers will hold their scimmage to conclude the evening.

    The Bash is sponsored by the Scrapper Booster Club. The concession stand will be open, and Scrapper T-shirts and other gear will be for sale during the event.
