Obituary: Kerwin Gray; De Queen


Oliver Kerwin Gray, 81 of De Queen, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016 in Ashdown. 

He was born June 26, 1935 in the Stringtown Community of Sevier County to the late Guy Oliver and Golda Stephens Gray. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church in De Queen. He was a Certified Public Accountant and for several years had an office in Nashville. He was active in professional organizations and in civic organizations in several communities in southwest Arkansas.

Survivors include: his wife, Willene Gray of De Queen; a son, Steve Gray and wife, Tammy, of Harrison; two daughters, Sherry Chaney and husband, Duane, and Sandy Salsbury, all of De Queen; a brother, Bill Gray of Perrysburg, Ohio; two sisters, MJ Cearley of Nashville, and Sue Stinnett of Malvern; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 30, 10 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen with Bro. Virgil Romine officiating. Burial followed in Millwee Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
