Alonza Glenn Mays, 61, of Tylertown, Miss., formerly of Ozan, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016.
He was born April 9, 1955 in Ozan, to the late Elvin and Verna Mae Mays. He was a member of Dodson Street Church of Christ in Nashville.
He was preceded in death by three siblings.
Survivors include: three daughters, Laniecie Block and Nickie Mays both of Nashville, Shaneka Coleman, and husband, Rev. Joe L. Coleman, of Boise, Ida.; eight siblings, Joseph L. Williams, and Kevin Keith Williams, both of Nashville; Horace Hansome Vaughn of Amarillo, Texas; Joe Alfred Vaughn of Fort Worth, Texas; Faye Staggers of Ozan; Andretta Poindexter of Washington; Carmon Evette Fowler of Kansas City, Mo.; and Rose Williams; also grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at New Light CME Church in Nashville. Burial followed at Clow Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Aug. 19, at the McFadden & Hitchye Memorial Funeral Chapel in Hope.
