Ethel Faye (Kinder) Keaster, passed away from this life on July 26, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born on Sept. 13, 1933 in Swifton, Ark., to E.B. and Eula (Nelson) Kinder.
She was married to Eunice Sylvester Keaster on Dec. 2, 1954 in Swifton, Ark., and they were married 60 years. She was a homemaker, babysitter and enjoyed keeping all her grandkids through the years. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.
She loved going to church and was a devoted Christian. She worked in the food pantry in her church. She also had many church sales, selling clothes and other items to raise money for the food pantry in her church. She kept a supply of clothes on hand in all different sizes to help people whenever in need.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law of Dierks, Janet and Bobby Whisenhunt, and Alisa Thornton; five grandchildren, Jon Whisenhunt and wife Crystal of Dierks, Shana Thornton of Dierks, Tracy (Whisenhunt) Kendrick and husband Wayne of Cerrogordo, Lee Thornton of Dierks, Jennifer (Whisenhunt) Jester and husband Tyler of Maumelle; seven great-grandchildren, Brett Nutt, Curtis Nutt, Destiny Nutt, Davin Burgess, Laken Whisenhunt, Jalynn Jester, Evan Kendrick; one sister Pauline Calhoun of Tuckerman, Ark.; she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eunice Sylvester Keaster; her parents, E.B. and Eula Kinder, one son-in-law, Webster Thornton; her twin brother, Ray Kinder; two brothers, Carl Kinder, Joe Kinder; six sisters, Lola Mae Kinder, Joyce Kinder, Lois Self, Ruby Benson, Aline Brewer, and Alma Benson.
Visitation was 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, at the Dierks Assembly of God Church
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30 at the Dierks Assembly of God with Bro. Kevin Herrington officiating. Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
