Pearcy man dies in Pike County wreck

A 25-year-old Pearcy man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Pike County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Travis Don Edgin died in the accident on Highway 27 south of Kirby. He was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in a 2003 Nissan Sentra. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch and then hit several trees. Edgin was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Sonny Simmons.
Weather and road conditions were listed by ASP Trooper Bo Hayes as clear and dry. The report does not indicate whether Edgin was wearing a seat belt.
