Wendell Wayne “Little Bear” Adams, II, age 39, of Mount Ida, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016.
He was born on June 7, 1977 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of Wendell Wayne Adams and Kimberly Ann Mahan Adams. On August 6, 2012, he was married to Aubrey Anna Glenn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Mahan; his paternal grandfather, Clyde Minton; his grandparents, Ira and Doris Hubbard; his paternal great-grandparents, J. H. and Eula Taylor; and his uncle, Curtis Adams.
He was a self-employed dump truck owner/operator and member of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially his fox pen and running his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Aubrey Adams of Mount Ida; five children, Logan Wayne Adams, Emma McKelvey Adams, Jessie Lee Adams, Danny Curtis Adams and Wendell Tabor Adams; his parents, Wendell and Kim Adams of Mount Ida; two brothers, David (Angie) Adams of Mount Ida and Mike Adams of Vincennes, Indiana; two sisters, Jennifer (Mike) Monk of White Hall and KariAnn (Wayne) Hawthorn of Mount Ida; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Adams Feucht of Mount Ida; his maternal grandfather, Roland Mahan of Hot Springs; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Preston and Rhonda Glenn of Delight; two aunts, Rita Tindle of Jonesboro and Debbie Adams of Mount Ida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016, in the Faith Tabernacle with Bro. Jonny Bratton officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mount Ida Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be David Adams, Mike Adams, Al- len Adams, Joe Chamberlain, Wayne Hawthorn, David “Den Rod” Williams, Preston Glenn and Matt Mer- edith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Double A Wrecker Service, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Ida High School Class of 1996, the Martin and Marietta crew, Larry Rowe, Dean Meredith and Clovis Price.
