Dwight D. Smith
Dwight D. Smith, born Nov. 1, 1955, went to be with the lord on April 24, 2016. Dwight worked in the oil and gas industry.
His career took him to several places around the country, however Dwight cherished his time spent in Helotes, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, “Big Daddy,” and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy D Smith and Bonnie Jo Roberts Smith Pope.
He leaves behind his wife of 39 years Marilyn Smith; daughters Lindsey Soylemez and Lauren Willers; granddaughter Bonnie Kei; and brother Lance Pope of Nashville
A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, San Antonio, Texas.

Linda Kay Eckles Westfall
Linda Kay Eckles Westfall, 73, of North Little Rock diedThursday, April 21, 2016.
She was born March 4, 1943 in Tulsa, Okla., to the late LeRoy and LaDema Bolin Eckles.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell Gene Eckles and Johnnie Lee Eckles.
Survivors include: her sons, Jerry Gardner, Daniel Mark Gardner and Gregory David Gardner; also, a grandson.
The family received friends on Tuesday, April 26 from 6-8 p.m. at 1422 Scott Street, Little Rock.
A memorial service will be held in Nashville, Ark., at a date to be announced.
Cletus Verdo Brock
Cletus Verdo Brock, 91, of Dierks, died Friday, April 22, 2016 in Dierks.
He was born April 6, 1925, in Altus, Okla., the son of the late Fritz and Myrtle Lemons Brock.
He was a logging supervisor for Weyerhaeuser, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Dierks Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Lee Brock, and five brothers, Herman Brock, Gene Brock, Doyle Brock, Preston Brock and Olin Brock.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joan Williamson, and Patricia Bissell and husband, Terry; a son,Tim Brock and wife, Debbie, all of Dierks; two sisters, Ivy Mae Miller of Cullen, La., and Mary Elliott of Hot Springs; a brother, Bobby Brock of Dierks; also grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Dierks Church of Christ with James McRae and Bill Paxton officiating. Burial followed in Dierks Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends from 6-7 p.m., Saturday, April 23 at the funeral home in Dierks.
