We missed the big storm on Monday night, but got plenty of rain. There was some damage with downed trees in other areas and damage to homes. Thankful that no one was injured.
Jimmy Kountz from California (Tollette) is visiting in the city. He is here to visit family and go to the horse races. Jimmy is one of the class members of 56 from Toilette, Ark. He will also be back for the Homecoming in Tollette in August.
I was in contact with Vernolia Ware Johnson, California, and she is well and sends hello to everyone.
April is a very busy month. Happy birthday to the following: Blakely Dixon, Dana Greenlee, Goldie Wilson who will be ninety (90), Irene Hendrix, Ruby Archer, Leader Pearl Piggee, Angela Wilson, Betty Wilson, Ruben Pauley, Wayman Earl Graves, and Mary Crosslin. These people are all ruled by fire and should do great things.
We still have several people on the sick list. Milton Hendrix, Hattie Jean Pauley and Lela James, and Mildred Crosslin. Prayers are requested for their recovery and prayers for our beloved Country as we decide who will be the next President.
