Patrick Eugene Backus, age 47, of Nashville, Ar., passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born April 11, 1968 in Texarkana, Texas to Al Backus and Lizabeth Bates Bell. Patrick was of the Baptist Faith. He loved going to concerts, going out to eat, watching Wheel of Fortune and all game shows, but most of all he loved listening to music. He had taken dance lessons earlier in his life and was an excellent dancer. Patrick had received worker of the month at the work activity center at Howard County Children’s Center and also received an award for most improved client from Wayside. He was preceded in death by his father, Al Backus; and a sister, Julie Backus Fatherree. His survivors include his mother, Lizabeth and husband, Harold D. Bell of Mineral Springs; brothers, Charlie and John Backus of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a special Uncle and Aunt, O.E. and wife Anita Bates of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his Howard County Children’s Center friends and family and the entire staff, who dearly loved him, as well as a large host of other family and friends. Patrick will be dearly missed by all.
Services were held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Nashville Funeral Home with Bro.
