‘Bill’ Bagwell

William Calvin Bill Bagwell, a Navy veteran, WWII was born in Delight, Ark., on Feb. 27, 1925 to Dan and Dora Moran Bagwell. Bill passed away on March 28, 2016.

Bill retired from Swepco after 37 years, then worked at Walmart in sporting goods. Bill was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing almost daily, then liked to tell about his days on the water. Bill loved people and always wanted to share a fishing tale. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of Josh Nichols Sunday School class, and in his younger days sang in the choir. Bill was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 65 years. He was also a member of Howard County Search and Rescue for many years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary Sue Bridgeman Momon Bagwell; four  daughters, Andrea Kay (Jim) Lane of Conway, Liz (Dan) McDaniel of Nashville, Diane (Berry) Shewmaker of Nashville, and Cathy Johnson of Nashville; one son, William “Bill” (Becky) Bagwell of Conway; one step-daughter, Martha (Bruce) Momon Rogers of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Betty Hile Alexander, the mother of his children of Nashville; one sister, Mary Regnier; and a brother, Jess Bagwell both of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Dora Bagwell; a brother, EJ Bagwell; a sister, Zelona Finney; and a stepdaughter, Carolyn Bird Momon Wren.

Services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at First Baptist church in Nashville with Bro. Kevin Sartin and Bro. David Blase officiating. Burial followed at 3:30 p.m. in Holly Springs Cemetery in Spring Hill, Ark., with Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.

Visitation was Thursday, from 11-12 at the church.

Ellis, Richard Obituary Photo for ST

Richard Allen Ellis

Benbrook, Texas – Richard Allen Ellis, 61, passed away Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Benbrook United Methodist Church, 1122 Bryant Street, Benbrook, Texas.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to his widow in care of the church.

Born July 21, 1954 in Nashville, Ark., he graduated from Nashville High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas. He earned an associate electronics degree from Southern State University at Camden. Richard was a senior engineer in the Simulation and Systems Integration Laboratories at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas for 38 years. He provided numerous support activities, including purchasing, inventories, logistics, security, and lab operations for multiple aircraft programs including the F-111, F-16, F-22, and F-35.

Richard was a great friend and co-worker to a multitude of Lockheed Martin and business partner employees. Richard was a devoted member and servant at his church. His family called him “Uncle Bubba,” co-workers called him “Fluff”, and friends knew they could count on his help with any job that needed to be done. Richard loved his fur babies including his cats, Mouth, Socks, Chaser, Crook, and Jethro. Richard was a hunter, fisherman, and a lifelong Razorbacks fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Sam Richard Ellis.

Survivors: His Wife of 30 years, Cindy Ellis; mother, Carolyn Wilson Ellis; sister, Laura Ellis Montgomery and husband, Greg; nephew, Gregory Mack Montgomery and wife, Ashley; niece, Molly Montgomery Kennedy and husband, Travis; other relatives, and many friends.

Geraldine Francis Wahle Jeanes

Geraldine Francis Wahle Jeanes, 82, of Arlington, Texas, died Monday, March 28, 2016.

She was born April 3, 1933 in Cove, Ark., the daughter of the late Ernest and Eltie Chadwick Wahle. She was a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother and two grandchildren.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Jeanes of Ft. Worth, Texas; two daughters, Terri Day of Arlington, Texas, and Sherri Vardemen of Burleson, Texas; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 2, 2016, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Scott Kitchens officiating. Burial followed in the Galena Cemetery.

David Keith Odom

David Kevin Odom, 52, of Nashville, died April 3, 2016 in Little Rock.

He was born Nov. 20, 1963 in Pomona, Calif., the son of Gwendolyn Tibbit Odom and the late Max Odom, Sr.        

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Max Odom, II, and Victor Scott Odom.

Survivors include:  his mother, Gwendolyn Odom of Nashville, and a sister, Karen J. Odom Chapman of Rayville, La. 

There will be a memorial service Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m.
