The team of Hunter Bissell and Ty Whisenhunt earned top honors in the high school division of the Arkansas Youth Fishing Association’s “Seige on Bull Shoals” tournament held last Saturday.
The Mount Ida Hookrz and Junior Hookrz were well represented at the tournament with Bissell and Whisenhunt being joined by two junior high teams who earnedtop 10 finishes in their division.
Luke Fiorello and Johnathan Lagrange finished in third place in the junior high division and Fisher Bissell and Fisher Davis finished in sixth place in the junior high division.
“Team Fisher”, which is comprised of Fisher Bissell and Fisher Davis, is poised to take top honors in the season points race.
The Junior State Championship will be held April 16 on Lake Ouachita, while the high school state tournament will be held June 18-19 in Little Rock on the Arkansas River.
