Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office conducts ‘Operation Burnout’

    Over 50 Law Enforcement officers including Hempstead County Deputies, Agents of the South Central Drug Task Force, Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police, Hope Police Officers, Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Officers, Howard County Deputies, Arkansas Department of Parole and Probation and undercover narcotics officers began serving warrants for Narcotics violations, for delivery of controlled substances (Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Crack and prescription medication) in Hempstead County as part of an undercover operation called Operation Burnout.
    The Arrest warrants are a culmination of a three month undercover investigation by the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and the South Central Drug Task Force. Undercover agents were able to make felony cases for delivery of controlled substances (Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Crack and prescription medication involving 33 suspects. Some of which had multiple deliveries.
    One search warrant was conducted at 1411 Greening where officers discovered approximately 70 grams of Methamphetamine, several ecstasy pills, marijuana, 750.00 in cash and a handgun.
    This has been an ongoing investigation with dedicated Agents, Officers and Deputies working together for one purpose to arrest those who sell drugs in our county. “This will continue to be an ongoing investigation as we try to provide a safe and drug free county for our children”, said Sheriff James Singleton in a press release dated April 4.
    Those arrested in the first phase of “Operation Burnout” as of Noon on April 4 are:
    Aaron Shepard Age 56, Hope, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Ambe Benson Age 35, Hope, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Bertha Muldrew Age 61, Hope, Delivery of a Controlled Substance (4 counts), Christian Reynolds Age 24, Hope, Arkansas Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Chuvez Harris Age 22, Hope, Delivery of A Controlled Substance, Cleo Adams, age 34, Hope, Currently in Bowie County Jail on Unrelated Charge, Devonte Barker Age 25, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Harmon Williams Age 42, Mc Nab, Arkansas Parole Violation, Jelani Mc Cowan Age 38, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Kenneth Scott Age 55, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Luval Cole Age 30, Washington, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Marcus Alexander Pierce age 27, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Melvin Todd Reliford age 35, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Michael Joseph Muldrow age 56, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Ronald Muldrew Age 58, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Sequoiah Adams/Holston Age 53, Hope, Possession with Purpose to Deliver, Steven Ray McClure age 54, Hope, FTA, Body Attachment, Tina Jameson, age 46, Hope, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Tony Cooper age 25, Currently in ADC, Delivery of Controlled Substance, and Gary Gillard age 23, Stamps, Parole Violation
    The Sheriff’s Office still had 12 warrants on individuals that have not been pick up as of this time, and officers were working to find the additional twelve suspects as of April 4.
