Wade Gadbury, age 80, of Newhope, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born on July 10, 1935 in Hartford City, Indiana, the son of Theodore Gadbury and Mildred Carmichael Gadbury. On June 5, 1954, he married Nora Faye Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Jean Robinette and Nancy Catherine Gadbury; and his daughter-in-law, Clara Gadbury. Wade was a member of the Newhope Church of Christ and was retired from the Synergy Gas Company. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time in his wood working shop, traveling and visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Nora Faye Gadbury; one son, Mike Gadbury; two daughters and one son-in-law, Anita Pinkerton and Sandra and Tim Young, all of Newhope; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Carla and Larry Mack, Brandon Gadbury, Jeremy and Melanie Gadbury, Justin and Toni Pinkerton, James and Jessica Pinkerton, Jessie and Steven Mount, Rachel Sirmon, Tosha and Thomas Morphew, Amber Gadbury and Sarah Pinkerton; thirteen great-grandchildren, Miranda, Dylan, Aiden, Zoie, Cheyanne, Kolton, Aaliyah, Parker, Payton, Hunter, Jasper, William and Nora; one sister and brother-in-law, Eula and Dave Crosley of Lapel, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Gerald Eaton officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Gadbury, Jeremy Gadbury, Justin Pinkerton, James Pinkerton, Dylan Gadbury and Larry Mack. Honorary pallbearer will be John Walker. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
