Evelyn Inez Ford of Sweet Home, Arkansas, passed away in Tyler, Texas, on her 86th birthday, March 9, 2016. She was born in Pike County Arkansas to the late Jeff and Lizzy Huddleston. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clayton Ford; brothers, Cecil, Carl and Roy Huddleston; and sisters, Jennie Keesee, Jean Roberts, Etta Bevill and Rema Jo Neighbors. Evelyn married Henry in 1958 in Amarillo, Texas, where they lived and raised three sons. They spent many days at Lake Meredith in Texas, but also enjoyed fishing near Evelyn’s home place in Arkansas on Lake Millwood and Lake Greeson. Evelyn loved to camp and catch the big one. They made Sweet Home their permanent home in the early 1990s. Evelyn adored her grandchildren which was evident by the many photos of them she displayed in her home. She was a faithful and active member of Sweet Home United Methodist Church (UMC). She is survived by her sons, Wayne Cox (Joy) of Tyler, Texas, Mike Cox (Carol) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and John Ford (Kara Lee) of Roland; grandchildren, Jennifer Duck, Jeff Cox, Stephanie Engler, Emily Ford and Clayton Ford; eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be held at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016. A memorial service will be held in Sweet Home on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sweet Home United Methodist Church.
