Woman arrested on Valentine’s Day for domestic battery

    DIERKS – A woman is in jail after being arrested for domestic battery on Valentine’s Day.
    According to Howard County Chief Deputy John Eric Glidewell, Sandra Reed, 51, of Dierks, was arrested on Sunday after Deputy Dustin Wakefield and Deputy Timmy Floyd were dispatched to 105 Ellis Road in reference to a domestic call. The deputies spoke to a man who said that Reed “hit him with a baseball bat,” according to officer’s notes prepared by Floyd.
    Floyd added that the man “had a red mark on his left shoulder and some scratches and a whelp on his left hand.” The deputies found Reed “under a small shed” and she was placed under arrest for domestic battery in the third degree and transported to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office were she remains in jail as of press time.
