We have had another beautiful winter week. It has been sunny, breezy and cool, which I consider perfect. In the next five weeks, according to the calendar, we will be looking forward to early spring. This winter has truly been a blessing for the many seniors coping with limited budgets to pay utilities. Warmer days are ahead.
There have been no emergencies in the Cliffs this week. I hope everyone enjoyed the 50th football, super bowl championship game on Sunday evening. As for me I always choose the winner for my team and we always win. So you can tell I am not a fan. But, I did have the chips and dips for the side line, while my sister in Denver bit her fingernails and called me after every big play. I am still trying to figure out what the half-time show was all about, so I guess that was not for me.
Ernest Greenlee, In Graves Chapel, is in the hospital, prayers are requested for him. John Louis Johnson spent several days in the hospital last week, and Annie Reeves, from Schaal, one of my good friends, passed away on Sunday. Prayers are requested for these families as they trust God for every outcome.
The Wilson-Watson families send their thanks to all who participated in the home going of their family member, Letha Ann Watson, as they celebrated her life on Sunday. They saw your cards, enjoyed the food and all the kind words spoken to share their grief. Thank you so much.
Mount Zion Baptist Church, White Cliffs will have regular worship service on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. The invitation is to everyone. The Pastor is a Bible teacher, and proclaims the word with simplistic and clearly, The children are also invited. Come and have a life changing experience.
I am glad to have this media to communicate the surrounding community happenings. Last week I had a letter from a hometown young man away from home, and had lost all his family contact information, He got a chance to read the Nashville News and was able to contact me. I was happy to respond with the information. Serving others is the best.
CHRISTIAN REFRESHER; PSALMS 150-1-6 KJV
PRAISE, ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with psaltery and harp. Praise him with timbre, and dance: praise him with the string Instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that bath breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
LOVE IS THE KEY!
