    NASHVILLE – Students in the Nashville ABC Preschool were excited to be outside Friday morning – not because of play time – these little tykes had a mission to accomplish.
    They were given the chance to all come together and send their love to their classmate and friend, Ella Grace Myers, one more time. Ella “Bubba,” 4, gained her angel wings on Jan. 26.
    After a prayer led by Sheila Edwards, the loud preschoolers turned their attention to ABC Director Linzi Wallis, who instructed them to “sing our song” for Ella Grace. The children immediately shifted their energy into belting out the sweetest, innocent, rendition of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for Ella Grace.
    Their voices perfectly sang, “Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are, Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky, Twinkle, twinkle little star, How I wonder what you are.”
    Wallis and her staff handed out 200 balloons to the preschoolers. Each balloon had a pink heart attached to a white string. The children spent time last week in class drawing messages on the hearts for Ella. Some children expressed their grief by drawing a heart, smiley faces and people. One child told a classmate that they were releasing the balloons “so Ella can get them…where she lives with Jesus.”
    Ella’s family joined the preschoolers and released pink balloons.
    She was born on Nov. 29, 2011 in Texarkana, Texas, to Mathew Myers and Alisha Langley Phillips.
    “Sassy pants”- as she was affectionately called – loved music, dancing, singing, eating ice cream cones, and playing in the mud, but more important she loved her sisters, and riding horses. In her short life, Ella gave more than most by giving the gift of life. She was a tissue donor. She is survived by her father, Mat Myers and wife, Tugi of Nashville; her mother, Alisha Phillips and husband, Brent of Nashville; her maternal grandfathers, David Langley of Sarepta, Louisiana and Randy Phillips of Nashville; her paternal grandparents, Vynn Stuart of Ashdown, Mickey Myers and wife, Sandy of Nashville, and Faye Tanner; sisters, Hannah Myers, Kelli Myers, and Kamryn Wright all of Nashville; brothers, Jacob Wright and Blake Wright of Pensacola, Florida; uncles, Mark Myers and wife, Sarah, Will Langley, Todd Myers of Houston, Texas, and Jess Cox of Bella Vista; aunts, Erin Phillips, Sylvia Richard, and Brook Dykes and husband, Jon of Nashville; cousins, Claire Myers, Aubrey Gammon, and Blaze Langley and a special friend, Rosie Hostetler.
