Charles Jack Schooley, 86, of Mineral Springs, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Mineral Springs. He was born on February 18, 1929 in Nashville, the son of the late Dick Schooley and Verna (Horn) Schooley. He was a farmer and member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Meveline Schooley; daughter, Jimmie Jean Welch; sister, Sylvia Chambers; brother, Wallace Schooley; and special niece, Jill Arnold.
Survivors include: one son, Richard Schooley and wife, Stacy of Mineral Springs; one daughter, Jackie Goodson and husband, Johnny of Nashville; son-in-law, Terry Welch of Mineral Springs; grandchildren, Wendy Walston, Beth Harris, Charles Ducket Schooley, Robert Goodson Womack, James Richard Schooley, Andy Goodson, Amanda Goodson Ritchie, and Brandon Puryear; 12 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services were Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Tim Freel officiating. Burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
