Mr. Robert Williams Jr. was born October 1, 1948 to Robert and Cozetter Williams in Hempstead County. On Friday evening, January 1, 2016, he closed his eyes to rest when God quietly called him home. Mr. Williams attended Howard County Training School in Tollette, AR and graduated in 1966. At an early age he became a member of Harmony C.M.E. Church, Saratoga, AR and later joined Salem Baptist Church of Texarkana, AR. He was employed by Lone Star Ammunition Plant and General Electric Railcar in Texarkana for a number of years. He later worked for Tri-State Iron and Metal Company in Texarkana as a Crane Operator before retiring after 37 years of service. Mr. Robert Williams was married to the late Mary Alice Davis on August 24, 1976. To this union, God blessed them with four children. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Cozetter Williams; three brothers Charlie, Elbert, and Carl Lee Williams.He leaves to cherish his memories four children: Teresa (Kevin) Wiggins, Robert (Kimberly) Williams III, Pamela (Nathan) Jefferson, and Denise Williams all of Texarkana; four sisters: Ida (Herbert) Ross of Hope, Sharon (the late David) Witherspoon of Nashville, Carolyn Green of Saratoga, and Margie (Rev. Charles) Green of Nashville; three brothers: James (Dorothy) of Jonesboro, Thomas (Mary Ann) Williams of Nashville, and David Williams of Saratoga; five granddaughter’s: Kyana Watson, Kristen Watson, London Davis, Kira Williams and Madison Wiggins; one grandson: Cameron Jefferson and one great-grand-daughter: Maya McBride; one uncle and one aunt, four sisters-in-laws, one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, January 9 at Floyd T. Jeans Memorial CME Church in Tollette. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery in Saratoga.
