The farmers’ markets in Nashville, Hope and Washington will be holding their 2016 kick-off meeting at Hempstead Hall in Hope on Tues., Jan. 26. There will be a training session for market vendors from 1 p.m. until 5:45 pm followed by a local foods tasting at 6 p.m.. At 5:45 p.m., the public is invited to attend a session that will include a local foods tasting. Anyone who would like to sell at any farmers market this year, including those in Texarkana and elsewhere, will benefit from this free training! Also, there are reduced registration fees and other incentives for vendors who sign up for the markets during this event. The incentives will not be available later in the year, so anyone planning to sell this at any of the three markets should attend this event. Everyone is invited to come and find out what is planned for the three markets this year. For more information or to register contact Debra Bolding at (870) 557-2352.
