Open House & Sweater Celebration to be held in Delight

Open house will be held Saturday, December 12 at the Delight Branch of the Pike County Library from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Coffee will be furnished by Author Penny Richards (Delight Christmas Parade Grand Marshall) Hot apple cider and lemonade will be furnished by the library.
Children’s author Linda Pennington Black, Frannie’s Fried Pies, Joy Rhea’s Jewelry Designs and SRT Crafts of Hot Springs will be here.
The library will be participating in the parade along with the librarian from Bainum Library and Learning Center of Glenwood. Our faux cast of characters from the Mr. Rogers Show and AETN with Clifford the Big Red Dog, as well as the Salvation Army Crisis Canteen will also be involved in the parade.
Mr. Rogers Sweater Drive Celebration will be held following the parade, at the Delight School Cafeteria. Many visiting dignitaries will help celebrate including: Delight Mayor Paul Lane, representatives from the State Library, AETN (with Clifford of course), and the Salvation Army. Drawings for additional prizes and the book sale drawing will be held. You must be present to win.
It’s not too late to bring sweaters, jackets, hoodies, and sweatshirts by the library. A box is located outside the library for drop off.
