A DeQueen resident died Sunday in Sevier
County following a two vehicle accident on US
Highway 71, south of North Park.
The Arkansas State Police said 29-year-old
Salvador Gaspar was the driver of a 2008 Toyota
traveling northbound. The vehicle hydroplaned,
crossed the center line, and collided with a vehicle
headed south.
The occupants of that vehicle were taken to a
local hospital for injuries, including 23-year-old
Hanna Hauser and 22-year-old Christian Hauser of
Houston, Texas and a juvenile.
Investigating officer, Trooper Mason Glasgow,
noted that conditions were wet at the time of the
accident.
