Guilty pleas entered in circuit court

    NASHVILLE – Several
    guilty pleas were entered
    in Howard County Circuit
    Court last week.
    The following pleas
    were entered on Wed., Dec.
    9 before Circuit Judge Tom
    Cooper:
    Brady O’Neal, 25, of
    Umpire, entered a guilty
    plea to terroristic threatening
    first degree and was
    sentenced to five years
    on probation and ordered
    to pay $1,000 fine, court
    costs, DNA fee and attend
    alcohol rehab courses.
    Candice Blake, 36, of
    Nashville, entered a guilty
    plea to furnish, possessing,
    using prohibited articles
    and was sentenced to
    eight years in the Arkansas
    Department of Correction
    (four years suspended).
    Blake was ordered to pay
    a drug assessment fee and
    court costs. She was given
    credit for 28 days of jail
    time served.
    Lawrence Swift Jr.,
    36, of Nashville, entered a
    guilty plea to an amended
    charge of battery and was
    ordered to serve one year
    in the county jail. Swift
    was sentenced to 15 years
    in ADC for possession of
    a scheduled II controlled
    substance ( methamphetamine
    and cocaine)
    enhanced as habitual
    offender and ordered to
    pay court costs and a drug
    assessment fee. The first
    two sentences will run concurrently.
    Swift was also
    sentenced to five years
    (suspended sentence) for a
    separate count of possession
    of a schedule II controlled
    substance enhanced
    as a habitual offender.
