and flood warnings in
the area. Major flooding
is occurring at the Little
River at Horatio, with the
river about three feet
above flood stage.
The city of Nashville
recorded 11.6 inches
of rain for the month
of November, with 7.4
inches of rain recorded
over the Thanksgiving
holiday – which is the
third wettest November
on record.
November 1978
holds the top spot at
14.41 inches while November
2000 is the second
wettest November,
receiving 13.26 inches.
The average rainfall
total for November is
4.8 inches. For the year,
Nashville has recorded
over 66 inches of rain,
17 1/2 inches above
normal.
During November,
the warmest temperature
recorded was 77
degrees on the 5th and
6th. The coolest temperature
recorded was
28 degrees, occurring on
the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
