NASHVILLE – The Caddo Hills Junior Lady Indians continued their quest for a second straight undefeated season with three wins and the tournament crown at Nashville.
The Junior Lady Indians defeated Murfreesboro and Ashdown before defeating the host Junior Lady Scrappers to earn the Nashville Junior Tournament title.
Caddo opened the tournament in grand fashion with a 49-13 victory over Murfreesboro. They held Murfreesboro to single digits in each period while scoring almost at will in the first three quarters.
Taylor Allen led the Junior Lady Indians with 15 points, followed by Abby West with 12 and Tracey Bershers with 10. Lilli Hunt and Wraylen Phillips each scored four. Delaney Jackson and Peyton Powell each scored two.
The second round match up against 4A Ashdown was much the same with Caddo walking away with a 41-13 victory.
Tracey Bershers led Caddo with 11 points, followed by Lilli Hunt with eight. Taylor Allen and Delaney Jackson each scored seven. Wraylin Phillips and Abby West each scored three and Nalley Lopez scored two.
In the finals, Caddo Hills made short work of the host Nashville Junior Lady Scrappers, earning a 44-15 tournament winning victory.
Tracey Bershers led the team with 15 points, followed by Taylor Allen with 13. Lilli Hunt scored seven, Wraylin Phillips scored six and Abby West scored three.
