The Outlaw’s season came
to an end Friday night after a
hard fought, tough season.
Conway Christian started
the scoring from the defensive
side of the ball. With 6:46
remaining in the first quarter,
Jake Green’s pass was intercepted
and returned 65 yards
for an Eagle touchdown. The
extra point was good and the
Eagles led early 7-0
The Outlaw offense stalled
again but the defense stood
tall and made the Eagles earn
every yard, until 6:36 remaining
in the second quarter
when quarterback Henry
found receiver Wood for a 30
yard touchdown pass. The
extra point again good and
the Outlaws were down 14-0.
Finally the Outlaws would
come to life. Running back
Trendin McKinney would
run it in from 14 yards out
with 5:36 left in the second to
put them on the board. The
2 point conversion was no
good and the Outlaw’s were
down 14-6 at the half.
The defense came out
red hot in the second half.
Defensive lineman Jed Morrow
would sack Christian’s
quarterback in the end zone
for an Outlaw safety and with
5:02 left in the 3rd quarter
the Outlaw’s would only be
down 14-8.
But that would be all for
the Outlaws, a pair of Conway
Christian touchdowns in the
third and fourth quarters
would put the Outlaw’s season
to rest.
Trendin McKinney finished
the night with 17 carries
and 141 yards and a
touchdown. Trendin finishes
the year with 249 rushes,
1500 yards, 15 touchdowns.
23 receptions, 206 yards, and
2 touchdowns. Trendin finishes
his Outlaw career with
over 4,000 yards and more
than 30 touchdowns.
Jake Green finished 10
out of 33 passing and 64
yards, running it 9 times for
12 yards, he ends his year
93-203 (47%) 1236 yards and
17 touchdowns through the
air, 91 rushes, 414 yards and
6 touchdowns.
Tyler Kesterson ended his
night with 7 catches for 43
yards. His season ends with
32 receptions, 451 yards, and
8 touchdowns. 6 interceptions
for the year as well.
The whole Dierks community
would like to thank
all the seniors for their years
of hard work and dedication.
We’re all so proud!
