LETTER TO THE EDITOR

My heart filled with gratitude
to God as I watched
the last of three tractortrailers
leave Nashville for
the Operation Christmas
Child Processing Center in
Aurora, Colorado, transporting
16,107 shoe boxes that
had been prayerfully and lovingly
provided by residents
of Southwest Arkansas.
I can’t even begin to thank
all the businesses and individuals
who made it possible
for us to reach and exceed
our 2015 OCC goal of 15,000
shoe boxes. Many of you
contributed lovely items for
our OCC semi-annual garage
sales, some gave generous
monetary donations. Others
gave supplies for the shoe
boxes. Prayers from many
in the area provided support
for the ministry.
Several families requested
that memorials be given
to Operation Christmas
Child in memory of their
loved ones. Volunteers gave
their time in various ways
throughout the year.
First Baptist Church graciously
allows the use of the
Family Activities Building
all year long for Operation
Christmas Child. The Nashville
News and the local radio
stations provide excellent
coverage for OCC and its
activities.
We are very thankful to
the Lord for all of you in
Southwest Arkansas who
supported Operation Christmas
Child in any way. You
are a part of a team who
wants to make a difference
in the lives of needy children,
many in desperate situations,
all over the world and
wants to let them know that
someone loves them and
that God loves them.
Blessings to each of you
during this Christmas season!
Beverly Starr, Coordinator,
Nashville Collection Center,
