LaVone “Bon” Mack, age 89, of Daisy, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015. He was born on March 15, 1926, in Daisy, the son of Burke Mack and Nettie Draper Mack. On June 15, 1951, he was married to Linda Faye Morphew Mack, who preceded him in death on January 6, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters. He retired after many years of working in maintenance with the Daisy State Park and was a member of the Daisy Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and loved to run his dogs. Bon will always be remembered by many as sitting in his front yard swing waving as drivers of logging trucks, 18 wheelers and friends would pass by his home and share a friendly honk back to him, and for his huge smile he always had for everyone. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Cathy and Steve Patrick of Charlotte, Arkansas, Debbie Mack of Speer, Oklahoma and Larry and Carla Mack of Daisy; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 24, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Billy Tom Young and Billy Golden officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Bailey, Jeff Snyder, Russell Young, Brad Baxter, Chad Stewart, Paul Edwards and Ricky Sirmon. Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert Jones, Roy Jones and Rex Lawrence.
