Residents of Murfreesboro welcomed the 95th US Armed Forces Anniversary Convoy conducted by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association in a big way Friday. The convoy retraced the original 1920 Transcontinental Motor Convoy route along the Bankhead Highway. The streets of Murfreesboro were lined in red, white and blue as Veterans and citizens welcomed the convoy. The Murfreesboro Campus of the South Pike County School District allowed all students to attend the historic event and a reception was held for veteran’s at the Pavilion on the Courthouse Square.
